Previlance  in india :

According to deccan chronical study in 2025 more then  60 millians will suffer from arthritis
. OA – 15 millian/ anum in adult 39% and 70 % old age .
. RA – 2 % of total population
. OTHER – 2 %

In AYURVEDA  arthritis called as VATA
Causective pathology of arthritis :

Pathophysiology
 
In Osteoarthritis, because of more weight, more physical strain or due to joint injury, the protein content called Proteoglycan in cartilage will reduce. This causes reduction of synovial fluid in the synovial membrane resulting in weakness of joint capsule.
